Marel acquires fish processing equipment creator Curio

Marel, one of Iceland’s largest and most valuable companies, as well as a world leader in the production of fish, pork and chicken processing equipment, has acquired a 50% stake in Curio, with a call option for the remaining 50%. This is announced in a press release. The price is undisclosed.

Marel and Curio have through the years collaborated on projects to provide end-to-end solutions for the processing of whitefish, and with the move, Marel aims to be able to provide its own end-to-end possiblities.
