Box Island featured for Code.org "Hour of Code"

Box Island, the mobile learning game by Radiant Games, will be featured as a mobile tutorial for this years’ Hour of Code events. Radiant Games will publish a special edition of the game called Box Island: One Hour Coding for the event. Box Island is the only new mobile tutorial featured this year. Other featured games were featured last year as well.

Code.org is non-profit organization which is, according to their website, “dedicated to expanding access to computer science, and increasing participation by women and underrepresented students of color.” It’s supported by many known companies and individuals from the tech industry, including Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Google and SalesForce.

It is estimated that over 100,000 Hour of Code events will be held globally in the Computer Science week, which is December 7-13. There are already over 76,000 events registered for the Computer Science week this year.

According to Vignir Guðmundsson, co-founder and CEO of Radiant Games, the team will be traveling to San Francisco for the Computer Science week, and hopefully taking part in some Hour of Code events.
